This was reported by the administrator of the Dread forum /u/Paris on December 18th at 22:37 UTC. Onion addresses of Kingdom Market show a message from the Federal Criminal Police of Germany (see screenshot).
It is noteworthy that on December 16 at 22:56 UTC /u/OhLongJohnson, Kingdom Market support admin, reported: "... we are experiencing outage and we are working on fixing itmarket is offline, but everything else is normal".
And for the next ~36 hours Kingdom Market admin /u/Papinian3 (or someone using his account) reassured Dread users several times that nothing terrible was happening and that the market would be back online very soon: "... another ugly sophisticated DoS attack"; "... still working on it. We are very close"; "try to connect on KingdomMarket platform via our 2ip mirrors" and in the last message "The fault repair time approx. 24 hours".

Dread staff has received information from a trusted party that multiple individuals, which had sufficient server access to Kingdom's infrastructure, have been arrested by law enforcement with their systems seized. We do not know, and probably won't ever know, the extent of the compromise. It is a shame, but with the current information provided, the chances of Kingdom market returning is from being down is basically zero.
I'll leave comments open for a couple days and then I will archive this subdread pending any new information.
Things like these occasionally happen. Make peace with it. If you have properly followed OPSEC while ordering on Kingdom you shouldn't have much to worry about. Clean house if you didn't.
