A cyberattack on Coin Cloud has exposed the personal information of 300,000 customers

Hackers, who were part of a collective, claim to have access to the data of the insolvent cryptocurrency ATM company.

Coin Cloud, which managed a network of over 4,000 Bitcoin ATMs across the US and Brazil, filed for bankruptcy in February 2023. The attackers claim to have personal information and 70,000 selfies of the 300,000 customers, including names, addresses, and social security numbers. They also claim to have stolen the source code to the internal Coin Cloud system and plan to make the leak public.

Coin Cloud's representatives have not commented on the situation. Coin Cloud filed for bankruptcy in February 2023 after suffering a $40 million loss in the first nine months of 2022.
