In Slovakia, the system of parliamentary voting has suffered.
According to a statement by a representative of the Polish Senate, cyber attacks on the governments of Poland and Slovakia were carried out from several countries, including the Russian Federation. Polish authorities say the attacks may be linked to a vote in the Senate that declared the Russian government a "terrorist regime."
According to Gabor Grendel, vice-speaker of the Slovak parliament, hackers paralyzed the entire computer network of the parliament around 11 am, due to which the parliamentary session did not take place, and the voting was interrupted.
In addition to the IT network, the cyberattack disrupted telephone lines, which prevented parliamentarians from voting.
Now Slovak technical specialists are actively working on restoring systems and pinpointing the source of the attack.
