The theft of network information in Japan, including that of the Cabinet of Ministers, was allegedly carried out actively by the Americans, according to WikiLeaks.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has revealed that the US is attempting to use certain countries in the region as tools to launch cyber attacks against China. The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated in response to a reporter's question about Wikileaks' knowledge that the US was actively involved in the theft of online information in Japan, including the country's cabinet, in a comment:
"Washington uses a variety of methods, including the media, to spread false information about the "Chinese hackers." The United States is enticing and threatening relevant states, particularly China's neighbors, to agree to the combat deployment of US cybertroops."
"The United States has the most advanced equipment to carry out hacker attacks, they can not only harm the respective states' network security, but also, if they are not sufficiently aware, turn these countries into a forward base and springboard for attacks by the American government on China via the Internet," the Chinese Foreign Ministry added.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the US intends to use China's neighbors as a "fighting machine" to organize network attacks against Beijing's strategic security.
According to the Chinese Foreign Economic Department's commentary:
"We oppose the United States' deployment of cyber troops in neighboring countries...." "We hope that the international community, particularly the PRC's neighboring states, will make their own [independent] judgment on the true intentions of the United States."
