An opioid analgesic called promedol (trimeperidine) is used to treat severe pain syndromes.
The medication works through the following mechanisms:
• Modifications in the way that nerve impulses are transmitted
• Impact on the brain's higher regions
• Functions of the central nervous system are slowed down.
The use of the medication includes relieving pain following surgery, due to the development of oncology, as well as during childbirth. The medication is thought to be safe for mother and child with a single use, but repeated recreational use is thought to cause severe pathologies.
Signs of using Promedol:
• Rapid loss of weight;
• Covers; skin that is paler;
• If elbows show signs of injection marks;
• Shrunken pupils and "glazing" of the eyes;
Changes in behavior:
• Reaction restraint and the display of irrational aggression;
• Resentment toward the former environment and a desire to withdraw from society;
• Making an effort to get a prescription for the medication (without providing any justification).
Result of taking Promedol:
Promedol causes severe dependence to form after prolonged use, and internal organs are quickly destroyed. The kidneys, liver, brain, central nervous system, and hematopoietic organs all develop diseases. The drug's regular use causes severe mental illness to develop.
