  • Market for psychoactive substances in 2022. Part 1

All substances on the list are sold on the dark web and many of them are legal in different jurisdictions, but it is worth checking their legal status at the time of purchase.

    2B-DCK (2-Bromodeschloroketamine)

2B-DCK - the first mentions date back to 2017, but the substance was widely used only in that year. It is a dissociative of the arylcyclohexylamine class, chemically resembling ketamine and deschloroketamine (DCK). Presumably, 2B-DCK acts as an antagonist of NMDA receptors that provide memory.

The subjective effects of 2B-DCK are similar to those of ketamine and include relaxation, dysregulation, anesthesia, internal hallucinations, euphoria, and dissociation—a mental state characterized by perceptual distortion and a sense of detachment from the world and self.

As with ketamine, the effects of 2B-DCK are dose-dependent: in small amounts, the substance causes an intoxication reminiscent of alcohol, in large amounts it causes a feeling of being out of the body.

    User Experience:

“I have tried many dissociatives, but this substance is superior. It has a short duration of action - at a dose of 200 mg, it gives approximately 35 minutes of dissociative psychedelic bliss. The condition is similar to dimethyltryptamine, but very clear. I felt like my bed had become a magic carpet and I was flying through space every time I closed my eyes.”

    Dizocilpine

Dizocilpine (MK-801) is a potent dissociative NMDA receptor antagonist discovered by Merck researchers in 1982. Users describe the dizocilpine-induced state as a "crystal-clear dissociative psychedelic experience" reminiscent of long-acting LSD. Like LSD, the substance is effective in microgram doses. For a person who is not experienced in dissociatives, 1 mg of the substance is enough for a powerful trip lasting 24 hours.

    User report:

“I don’t understand at all that I am in a room and that I am a person at all. In the darkness above me are certain groups of beings endowed with consciousness. They look like groups of animals - birds, fish, snakes, etc. I belong to one of these groups, although I do not realize which one. We are all moving towards the golden spark above us. On the other hand, I feel that we are not moving at all, but just hovering in the darkness of space. All this feels like something extremely peaceful. I do not feel the slightest nervousness, no anxiety. The next thing I remember are many other groups of beings that form within different levels around me - below me and above me. I don’t feel the coldness of the atmosphere – the feeling is very comfortable.”

Impressions of the substance as a whole:

“Dizocilpine induces a much purer state than dextromethorphan, lacking the crude, animalistic, filthy nature and potential for paranoia that dextromethorphan has. It's also a much cleaner and "spicier" feeling than the experience of ketamine and methoxetamine. Incredible purity - that's what I like about dizocilpine. It makes you feel like you are seeing the world for the first time, but everything in this world is beautiful, soft and familiar. I would compare dizocilpine to a silver mirror polished to a fantastically smooth, atomic level, and its sharpness is like an incredibly sharp sterilized surgical knife that penetrates right into the brain and does its job without being distracted by anything else. However, the metal itself has an angelic sweetness quality that makes the experience not perceived as negative.”

    Dextrallorphan

Dextrallorphan is a chemical in the morphinan class. The effects are similar to dextromethorphan. As an NMDA receptor antagonist, it is twice as potent as dextromethorphan and five times as powerful as dextrorphan.

    Nortilidine

Nortilidine is the main active metabolite of the analgesic tilidine, derived from tilidine by dimethylation of the latter in the liver. The analgesic effect of nortilidine-racemate is comparable in strength to that of morphine. The (1R,2S) isomer is an antagonist of NMDA activity. The substance also acts as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor, which enhances its euphoricity (tilidine is the most euphoric of the opioids). Thus, nortilidine acts as a moderate-strength "speedball" combination of an opioid and a stimulant.

Nortilidine alone has more recreational potential than tilidine because nortilidine can be injected for a faster and more euphoric effect.

Previously, nortilidine was not widely used as a recreational substance, although it was first identified in Poland in May 2020.

    Fluorexetamine

Fluorexetamine (FXE) is a dissociative of the arylcyclohexylamine class. The substance has been sold on the darknet since 2017, but until recently it remained little known. The substance can be safely consumed in doses of 50 to 200 mg. Consumers note that emotionally it has a softer, "warmer" and euphoric effect than "cold" ketamine, and hallucinations are "cartoonish" in nature, characterized by an abundance of colors and surpass the visual range caused by other similar dissociatives.

    Consumer experience:

“Visuals with closed eyes were not very bright – dark greens, purples and blues dominated against a dark background. The visuals looked like x-rays of a cubic substance intertwined with muscle-like fibers. Within seconds, I was sucked into the dissociative hole. It felt like I had been reduced to microscopic particles and moved through a beam of light. I traveled through strange worlds and realities more like our own. At one point, I was carried through a non-Euclidean urban landscape, and moments later, I was surveying kitchen furniture. These worlds were very different from what I had seen in previous experiences with ketamine and 3-HO-PCP. While in this state, I experienced a uniquely new for me feeling of love for life, for myself and for the world around me. Perhaps no other dissociative I have tried induces such deep introspection or has such a powerful antidepressant effect.”
