Cyber gang Killnet, which is associated with Russia, was accused of a DDoS attack on a hospital in Groningen, the Netherlands. Hospital digital security watchdog Z-Cert has announced that “pro-Russian DDoS attacks” are targeting other Dutch hospitals as well. As a result of the attack, the site of the center is experiencing problems, however, patient data is saved and operations are carried out as usual.
A representative of a medical institution in Groningen confirmed the hacker attack, noting that it comes in waves, reports the Netherlands Broadcasting Corporation (NOS).
The Killnet Telegram channel has published a list of foreign hospitals, including hospitals in the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Poland, the US, the UK and Germany.
